Dribbling Techniques: Beating Opponents

Dribbling is about control, confidence, and creativity. Start with simple cone dribbling drills—set up 10 cones spaced 1 meter apart and practice weaving through them at different speeds. Do 5 sets per session, alternating feet to improve precision. Next, incorporate directional changes. Sprint while dribbling for 10 meters, then cut sharply to the left or right. Repeat this 10 times to enhance quick transitions. Advanced players can practice 1v1 scenarios with a teammate acting as a defender. Spend 15 minutes per session experimenting with feints, stepovers, and body fakes. After 3 weeks of consistent training, you’ll notice better ball control under pressure.
